Got some more work done on the Sportster. I managed to remove the old exhaust without breaking anything. Scored a Supertrapp 2into1, but I'm not sure I like it. Maybe I'll score a cool muffler to adapt to it-
Decided to change the stock timer cover since I have several around. After drilling, screwing and unscrewing, tapping, lubing, etc., I went with an old favorite for now-
While messing with it, I noticed that my timer trigger is melting, no wonder the thing wouldn't tach out when I rode it the other day! So I got one ordered.
Took the front fender off but the one I bought at the swap meet is too small. I also started on my front wheel, fought the rotor bolts for a while. I think that once I get the rotors changed, they'll bolt right on.
Tomorrow, I'm taking the forward controls off and start thinking about adapting the rearsets.
